Clyfford Still Museum 15th Anniversary Leadership Celebration

Exactly 15 years ago on November 18th, the Clyfford Still Museum opened its doors to Denver and the world. Since then, hundreds of thousands of visitors have experienced our world-class collection gifted to the City and County of Denver, award-winning architecture, cross-disciplinary programs for all ages, and opportunities to explore their own creativity. 

To mark this incredible milestone, we are gathering our Board of Directors, Honorary Council, and closest friends for an intimate evening of celebration. We are grateful to you for the role you have played in making the Still the extraordinary institution it is today and shaping the bright, bold future ahead.

We cannot wait to raise a glass with you in celebration of the Clyfford Still Museum’s past, present, and exciting future! 

We are also excited to share that Evelyn C. Hankins, Ph.D., curator, art historian, and Head Curator Emerita of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, will join us as our special guest. Evelyn will share an exclusive sneak peek at the exhibition she is curating for the Still in 2028.

Evelyn C. Hankins, Ph.D., is a curator and art historian with twenty-five years of experience working with artists and museums. From 2008 to 2025, she was a curator at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, culminating in her appointment as Head Curator in 2020. During her tenure at the Museum, she brought artworks across media into the collection by both gift and purchase, including works by artists such as Milton Avery, Hilla and Bernd Becher, Maren Hassinger, Jacqueline Humphries, Charles Gaines, Rashid Johnson, Glenn Ligon, Rodney McMillian, Rebecca Morris, Deborah Roberts, Fred Sandback, Hedda Sterne, Charline von Heyl, and Mary Weatherford, among many others. Evelyn will curate the exhibition Clyfford Still: Open Road, opening at the Clyfford Still Museum in May 2028.
